From craving to table
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven as it heats.
- 2
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook ground turkey, breaking it up with a spatula. Season with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until turkey is browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat.
- 3
On a lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel if using a stone.
- 4
Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
- 5
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Evenly distribute cooked turkey, red onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, and black olives over the pizza.
- 6
Top with remaining mozzarella and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over everything.
- 7
Transfer the pizza to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- 8
Remove from oven, let cool for a minute or two, and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Slice and serve hot.
